How to Make a Ruler Theme Picture Frame.

Today is National Teacher’s Appreciation Day! Wohoo! Thanks to all you teachers for making a difference and for loving our children as if they were yours.

So I made these adorable ruler themed picture frame. It was super easy and I’ll show you how I did it.

What you will need:

  • Hot Glue and Super Glue
  • Picture Frames
  • Ruler Ribbons
  • Scissors

Take the back side of the picture frame out.

Use the picture mat as a base for the ribbons. Cut the ribbons to the size of the edges of the mat.

Glue ONLY the middle part of every edge of the mat to glue the ribbons on. You want to keep the corners unglued for the next step.

Cut the corner piece of the ribbon as it is demonstrated on the picture above to create a cornered frame look. Glue the edges down.

For the white ribbon I used the super glue but was unable to use that same glue for the brown ribbon. It would not stick because it is made of a different material, so that is where I used the hot glue.

Put the ribboned mat back into the picture frame and place anything in there as your heart desires. Some ideas would be pictures of your children, a pic of your kids with the teacher, a drawing your kids made for their teacher, or print out a beautiful teacher sayings you can easily find on the Internet.

I hope you liked this tutorial and make one for your teachers in your lives. It’s the least we can do for them for loving our kids, don’t you agree?

Feel free to share this tutorial😊.

I am a mother of two girls (6 & 7) and two boys(2 & 4). I am married to a wonderful man named Seth. We are happy to have Princess, our black lab, in our family. I, proudly, lived all my life in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona until I married my husband on June 2007. That is when I moved here to Western Massachusetts. Over 8 years and 4 kids later, I yet have explored more of New England. Join me on our outings of New England. Plus, I tend to be a little crafty, so you will find a lot of "DIY" posts as well. Pretty much of everything since I love trying new things, and how to make my busy life as a mommy go as smoothly as possible.
